Back in June I had to buy a new PS4 Pro. My older pro (launch unit), started making a ton of weird noise when you put a disk into it. It happened when I was playing Yakuza 6 so I guess it couldn’t handle the power of Kiryu anymore. Inside the box of the new pro came a 20% off of the PSN store coupon.
So on Friday, along with the release of Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice, I thought I should bundle up some games for nice savings. So I decided to pick up Sekiro, Spiderman Deluxe Version, Dishonored: Death of the Outsider, Horizon Zero Dawn: The Frozen Wilds, and Castlevania Requiem: Symphony of the Night & Rondo of Blood. Most of the games were already on sale so with the 20% off it all came out to only 120 dollars. Not bad at all.
I’ve been trying to make my way through Sekiro for the last week, had to stop for a few days to take care of some other stuff. So it’s been a little rough getting back into my flow of things. I was able to beat Genichiro, that dudes a shithead for real. Eventually I got so good at his first two phases. I’ve gotten through the first part without being touched and I think I took damage once on the 2nd phase. That last one when he turned into Raiden sucked though. It sucks because you have to get to that point in order to start learning his new moves again and how to counter them. I just got really aggressive and hit the shit out of him and that’s all she wrote.
So it’s back to Sekiro for the weekend. Hopefully I’ll be able to get some time with it, not sure if I’ll be able to finish it. I’m also not certain if I’m going to get the platinum in it. The game has a couple trophies for getting different endings and I’m not sure if it’s worth all the work that will all take. At least it’s not the grinding Dark Souls 3 wanted me to do (and that I refused to do).
